
| About Me My name is Dayna Huor and I am 12 years old in September 2007. I am a second degree blackbelt in taekwondo and a first degree in karate. My father and brother first taught me martial arts when I was 3 years old and I started taking classes at the age of 4. I have been doing martial arts for 9 years now. I am a 10-time youth black belt world champion from my past 3 years of competing in national and world martial arts tournaments. I also do dance, gymnastics, tumbling and I play the violin. My family consists of my Mom and Dad Maura and Kenneth Huor, my two older brothers Brendon and Jason Huor, and me of course. My hometown is Davenport, IA and I was born and raised there. My instructors are John Sharkey Jr., Jai Johnson, Brendon Huor, Kenneth Huor, Grand-Master Chung Eun Kim and Duane Spelloius. I currently train at Sharkey's Karate Studio, Jai Johnson's Karate Center, Chung Kim's Blackbelt Academy and Spelloius TaeKwonDo/Nautilus Super Fitness Center. I am star athlete member on national/international competition Team AKA (which stands for American Karate Association). I do Shorei-Ryu Karate and Taekwondo, and I earned my TaeKwonDo second degree blackbelt at Chung Kim's Blackbelt Academy. I also earned my first degree blackbelt in Karate at Jai Johnson's Karate Center. I train 6 days a week for two hours per day and I am a straight "A" student academically. I attend regular public schools, and currently I am a 7th grader at Wood Intermediate School in Davenport, Iowa. |
